Hyperspectral has become an important reconnaissance tool for military purpose. An target detector can enable one to detect targets whose signatures are spectrally distinct from their surroundings with no a priori knowledge, and so ti becomes increasingly important in hyperspectral image analysis. Based on the analysis of characteristics of hyperspectral imagery. The methods of target detection are studied systematically in this paper.According to disclosing camouflage test mechanism in spectrum and the analysis of spectrum characteristic of many green camouflage materials as well as that of green vegetable background, exploring the test technology on the target spectrum simu-material. Establishing the critical function and critical rules based on the spectrum characteristic selection and the process of spatial dimensional reduction. The test finds the best classified characteristics and critical function that can identify artificial target and background spectrum.
