Answering System Based On Case Grammar And Verbnet The Study

Question Answering System (QA) is one of the most important research directions in the field of National Language Processing (NLP). Specially, following flying development of internet, people is harder and harder to get exact information from more and more useless information. Transactional search engineer can't satisfy people's requirement. And Question Answering Technique is one of effective tools to solve this conflict. At present, many universities and research labs are researching QA System and have gotten lots of progress.Our mainly works are proposing a new semantic analysis arithmetic which base on Case Grammar and VerbNet lexicon, designing and programmed a QA system based on the arithmetic, and testing the semantic analysis arithmetic and QA system in a certain domain. Our research works as follows:(1) Proposed a new Semantic Analysis arithmetic combining Case Grammar Theory and VerbNet lexicon. This arithmetic could realize semantic analysis to a certain extent for English language.(2) Designed a QA system based on the semantic analysis arithmetic. The system is composed of question analysis, information retrieval and answer extraction. The semantic analysis arithmetic is used in the parts of question analysis and answer extraction.(3) Programed a semantic analysis arithmetic which base on Case Grammar and VerbNet lexicon and a QA system based on the arithmetic. Then we have tested the semantic analysis arithmetic and QA system in a certain domain, the result of test proved the feasibility of the semantic analysis arithmetic and its useful application on QA system.
