This paper presents the main functions and characteristics of the earth receivingsystem for the SAR satellite. Based on those functions and characteristics, it describesthe collectivity design of the system. First of all, starts with distribution of the systemcharacteristic, by analysing the G/T, the link calculation, the tracking precision, theangle precision, the gain of the link and the code error rate, this paper describes theresearch process of the design. Secondly, it gives a detailed design of the antennasubsystem, the feed subsystem, the link subsystem, the data processing subsystem.Later, according as the system running mode, this paper describes a monitoring andcontrolling plan, including the structure, the working flow management, theworking mode of the antenna, the hardware interface, and the software. In this design, the differential mode feed technology make the feed high efficiency and compactness. The using technic of the wide band frequency reduces the link nosie degradation, andcan receive the high speed data transmitted from the satellite. The design of threelevel monitor and control structure lead to high automation. Finally, this paperpresents the technology level of the system in the world.
