In realistic life, a lot of meaningful information of vision is included in sports. Inmany spots, such as safety supervises and controlling in important sites, automatically andassistant drive of motorcar, the control of transportation discharge, making guided missilein aviation and military aircraft, people are usually interested in the moving targets andobjects. Thus, there are great realistic meaning and practical value by researching the trackof moving objects.A system which can recognize and track moving object in laboratory is realized, andthe target always lies in the center of imaging frame by controlling a servo device and lens.During image processing, a multi-step method based on mathematical morphology andOtsu's method is proposed. Computation efficiency and precision are improved by thismulti-step method. In the tracking process, the article combines the window tracking andKalman filter, and then better effectis gotten. Window adapting algorithm is used to trackmoving objects and enhances the tracking precision and higher precision is attained.Position prediction based on Kalman filter accurately estimates the feature's position so asto decrease the size of the region matching feature. When object is sheltered for a brieftime, it still can make predicting and tracking on moving object and it achieves theprospective effect.Simulation and programming on kinds of algorithms are proposed in this article, thelast chosen algorithm is optimized, which makes the programming compact and reliable, and enhances the stability and the real-time property greatly. The experimental resultsindicate that the algorithms operate quickly, meet the demand of real-time property, and aresimply to be realized through hardware.
