With the rapid development of the Internet, network congestion control, as one of the main means to enhance the performance of the network, becomes one of the hot research areas. The TCP end-to-end congestion control and the Active Queue Management (AQM) control are the two kinds of the methods whose aim is to maximize the link utilization, minimize the packets delay, distribute the network resources among users reasonably and drop packets as few as possible. The performance of these typical AQM algorithms is poor under two-way traffic, although it is better under one-way traffic. So the algorithm under two-way traffic is need to research.Based on the introduction of TCP congestion control and AQM congestion control, some typical AQM algorithms have been summarized. These algorithms are simulated under one-way and two-way traffic environments by ns2 so as to compare the difference of each algorithms' performance under the two different environments.Based on the analysis of the performance of ACKs-first Scheduling under different network environments, a new ACKs-first Scheduling based on queues and sending rate-controlled is proposed in this paper, which can find the best sending rate depending on the search step without the exact model of the network. Simulations under various network environment show that this algorithm has good stabilization and robustness.
