With the development of our society, surveillance TV monitor systems are used in more and more important areas. Analog TV monitor systems will still be largely employed in many industries that need real time monitor, such as defense and industrial production for long time. CRT monitor coupled with multi-picture integration device is used in most traditional analog TV monitor systems, enabling multi picture surveillance. Picture frames on one CRT monitor are so small because of the limited size of display panel. This essay focuses on a new solution introduced for this problem by introducing the colorized PDP in TV monitor system based on analysis and research of PDP interface circuit. A PDP monitor with a big screen to display pictures of many different places is also designed.This task has two main contents. One is to discuss the new application of colorized PDP, the structural characteristic of AC-PDP and implementation in TV monitor system. The other is to design a kind of many formats image signal input interface circuit and to introduce every format signal, interface circuit and working principle.The innovation of this task is the interface circuit. It not only has universal video frequency TV signal interface, computer signal interface, radio frequency TV signal interface, digital video frequency TV signal interface but also has pictures division displaying interface circuit which fits multi-channel video frequency TV signals input synchronously.The main function of interface circuit is decoding different formats of input image signal, converting digital signal and format to fill signal format of the back end driving and displaying circuit. The interface circuit also can produce synchronous, vanished and ensconced, digital clock signal and realize remote control, displaying on screen. The pictures division displaying interface circuit with multi-channel video frequency TV signals can input 16 channels video frequency TV signal at best. These signals pass through picture dispose circuit to convert one channel video frequency TV signal firstly, then decoded to becoming R, G, B signals by video decode circuit. The output flow of decoded signals is generally same as computer signals procession. Analog signals such as R, G, B are converted into digital signals by ADC. The image ratio of breadth to height is converted from 4:3 into 16:9 by image breadth and height conversion circuit before the converted image signal is exported and transported to the next driver and display circuit.After the designing and debugging interface circuit done, testing and pilot run have been completed. The testing result met design requirement and system run very well when inputting real signal. We are confident it can be applied in TV monitor system successfully.
