Built-in power supply circuits for one-chip TFT-LCD driver IC are studied and designed in this dissertation, which comes from the project- "Development of TFT-LCD driver IC used for mobile phone" supported by National High Technology Research and Development Program of China.The research work of this dissertation mainly includes:1. The characteristics of built-in power supply circuits for one-chip TFT-LCDdriver IC are analized and the system architecture of power supply circuits is worked out according to the analysis of voltages specification for TFT-LCD driver IC. Built-in power supply circuits are divided as four sub-blocks such as charge pump circuit, LDO regrulator, Vcom driving circuit and Vgoff driving circuit. Behaviors of power supply circuits and its sub-blocks are modeled by verilog-A.2. Design and optimization methods of switched-capacitor charge pump circuits are studied through the analysis of their classification, topology and operational process. Voltage step-up and inversion circuit built-in TFT-LCD driver IC are designed and also verified by mixed-simulation using Verilog-A behavior model and SPICE netlist.3. Design and optimization methods of low dropout voltage regulator are studied through the analysis of their topology and operational process. LDO voltage regulator block built-in TFT-LCD driver IC is designed and simulated.The transition response of LDO is optimized using dynamic leaker technology.4. Vcom driver block and Vgoff driver block are designed and simulated using HSPICE after the analysis on constructure and load condition of TFT-LCD panel.The results studied in this dissertation are successfully applied for 260k color, 132RGBĂ—176-dot one-chip TFT-LCD driver IC "Longtium-T1".It is indicated that the measurement results exactly satisfy the specification.
