Imaging guidance is a main developing branch of precision-guided technology. With the rapid development of science and technology, especially for sensor, computer, signal processing and artificial intelligence,automatic target recognition will play more and more important role in modern weapon systems. After the preprocessing problem of the TV seeker's working of imaging guidance missile is studied and solved, the process and method of automatic target recognition is investigated systemically. The most distinctive parts can be described in the following aspects:1. Aiming at the problem of the recognition precision of real time image with geometric distortion and blur , the image which is inputted is being preprocessed , including denoising , edge detection and binarization , and a method of image segmentation based on mathematical morphology and image thresholding method is developed The computer simulation results prove that the segmentation method can relatively evidently reduce image noise , preserving the edge simultaneously,and the segmented targets boundaries are smoothed and plain.2. For Hu's invariant moments having no scal invariance, a kind of modified algorithm of Hu's invariant moments is proposed. The experiment results demonstrate the proposed new method has feasible and effective.3. Neural network has successful applications in many fields,especially in target recognition.A method of object recognition based on invariant moments and neural network is advanced. The BP network is trained by using a kind of modified algorithm of Hu's invariant moments to abstract invariants of objects to classify the targets to be recognized. The result of simulation shows that the trained BP net classifier has been improved the classifying ability , learning speed and recognition precision, this is a practical method of object recognition. |
