The bus vehicle is the image of current city. If it can automatically recognise thebus stop by GPS, this not only can decrease the bus driver's workload and increase bussecurity, but aslo can upgrade the city image and be propitious to dispatch the busvehicle. What is more, this will supply the base for ITS as well. But the dynamicperformance of GPS is weak. In some site, like overpass, tunnel and so on, the GPScan not position exactly and even position unavailing. So these sites are usually namedthe GPS blind spots. The GPS blind spots restrict hugely that the GPS is used andpopularized in bus vehicle. For solving that, basing the bus circuit characteristic, this dissertation putsforward that it is developed a low-cost bus navigation system using the GPS receivermodule and tri-axis accelerometer. By this system, the bus vehicle can automaticallyrecognise the bus stop for a period of time, when the bus vehicle is in GPS blind spot. The research connent of this dissertation is spread surrounding this bus navigationsystem. It originates from the subject background and correlative knowledge, expoundsthe design proposal and the data processing mode in this system. After that, by twochapters, it introduces detailedly the system whole truss, navigation part chips andsoftware flows. So this navigation system is finished from theory to production. At last, according actual measurement data, this dissertation describes clearly the each measurepart's work status and analyses the rationality of this system.Owing to taking out the high costly gyroscope and adopting the cheaperaccelerometer in the MEMS technology, it could absolutely be mass-produced and hasenough precision at the same time. And this product has been sold in some city already. At present, the theory research and production can hardly be seen that the civil vehicleuse the GPS/INS integrated navigation system. Some research can't be manufacturedas a result of high cost. This dissertation could supply a thought for the GPS/INSintegrated navigation system is applied to low-cost civil vehicle navigator.
