Network System In Seari Security Policy And Practice Of Design

The security of information system has a very wide range, can be divided into the system safety and transmission security from the structure of the network ;From another point of view, the security protection of network can be divided into several aspects: connection control of the network equipments, authorization warranty of users to the internet , protocol authentication, defence of attack , security management of the network system,etc. From the angle of enterprise network, it includes security of connection , security of the network equipments and security of internal host computer.The demand of information system and network system is of different levels demand in the environment of SEARI network system. This is similar with the environment of the campus network, but is not completely the same.We usually need to search for information of product from internet at real time, and search for different kinds of services, for example,Www(World-Wide-Web service),e-mail(E-mail service),ftp(File Transfer Protocol service), im(lnstant Communication service),etc. On the other hand, we need to guarantee the absolute security of the internal system(such as ERP(Enterprise Resources Plan System), PDM(Product Data Management System) etc.) data. In the meantime again, we then need to guarantee the system(such as LIMS(Laboratory Information Management System), OA(Office Automation), www, e-mail,ftp etc.) can run normally and can guarantee the security of data.So, this gives the security of network system a new challenge, it can not be controlled too tight or too loose.In contrast with that, the application demand of campus network is based on a basic open of network, supporting some liberal systems, such as bbs( Bulletin Board System), e-mail, www, ftp etc..There request to the security system is usually of single level.A security system project has to be designed to enable the SEARI network information security system to meet needs at different levels, ensuring the whole system runs smoothely.
