Personal Information Management And Memory

Personal Information Management or PIM is attracting increasing attention as an area of study. In the ideal world, we have the right information at the right time, in the right place, in the right form, and of sufficient completeness and quality to perform the current activity. Tools and technologies help so that we spend less time with burdensome and error prone actions of information management. We then have more time to make creative, intelligent use of the information at hand in order to get things done. Memory has the strong relationship with PIM. In an other word, Personal Information Management means information memory and retrieval. Then I surveyed and analyze the memory lap in daylife to get the characteristics of Personal Information Management. Also,I serveyed the strategies computer users adopt to mamange their digital inforamtion, for designing PIM system. The works author have done is:1) Survey the memory laps in daylife. Then, analyze the characteristics of these .2) Survey the strategies computer users adopt to mamange their digital inforamtion.3) Design a Personal Information Management Tool and name it Boogu.4) Research the prospect of combine Personal Information Management System with other fields, such as, Electronic Commerce, Data Mining, Group Information Management.
