As a new technique with rapid development, laser scanning technique has become an important technique means. Compare with the traditional measure method, laser measure technique has its unique advantages. With rapid speed to obtain data, lower price, higher precision, all-day work, and high efficiency, it provides a refresh technique means for the receive of earth spatial information, which make the change of traditional man-made single point obtain to consecutive automatic receive possible, meanwhile it greatly increases the precision and speed of the observation, which make the receive and dispose of the data develop into the direction of the intelligentization and automatization.It's of abroad usage to extract characteristics from moving persons in many fields, such as building security, management of marketplace and rail station, orientation of the pedestrians and other fields. Up to now, the video means are used extensively in this field, but it confront obstacles either in the match among different coordinate systems or in computation. In the contrary, the laser scanner can be used to obtain the around information using the unharmed laser according to the time-flight principle. Then we can get the important information through the dispose of data. This technique has already obtained abroad attentions. In this paper, we take the laser canner to receive data and get the important leg characteristic information through the investagion.The contribution in this paper are as follows:1. The exact leg information are obtained by laser scanner, a multi-threshold and dynamic clustering method are used to analyze the dispersed dots, so as to realize the identify of the objects.2. Using the video method to express the laser plots, and the key techniques are investigated.3. A adaptive updated distill in the moving field are taken to obtain the moving information4. The EMS memory mapping technique, multi- thread techniques and the quick show technique are investigated to dispose the plot data, then transfer to the needed data, so as to use for reference to other related investigations.Just as the experiment displays, it can demonstrate the information of moving people obviously, as far as further research in related fields, it can also be used for reference.
