As a customization computing system that integrate with hardware, real-timeoperating system and application software, embedded system has become more widely used in the area of social affairs and people's living while Post-PC Era is coming. It has become a key aspect in IT industry. Meanwhile, as a result of the Internet popularization and the improve of information shared degree, the demand of network trend in embedded system is more and more imperative. Network and connectivity is now becoming the developmental direction of various mesure and control devices, local instruments and intelligent home appliances, especially the connection with Internet. Thus, the connection between embedded devices and Internet has become an important direction and necessary trend. According to the forecast by network expert, it will be 70% information transmitted in the Internet comes from embedded system.This paper analyses the characteristic and basic stucture of embedded system and compares some advanced technology used in embedded system connect to Internet. This thesis completes the hardware platform and network interface design based on ARM7 proccessor core, and also connects the system to Internet.This system uses LPC2210, which is produced by Philips and based on ARM7 architecture, as main controller. Then we designs serial bus and Ethernet interface based on the simple embedded system prototype in order to realize the diversity of embedded system network. We transplantes μC/OS-Ⅱ operating system which code is free, used in simple application situation and has multitask kernel. The embedded system connects to Internet must accord with TCP/IP criterion. But μC/OS-Ⅱ operating system doesn't support TCP/IP protocol. So in order to adapt the need of embedded system network, this thesis raises a optimize plan of embedded TCP/IP by analyzing TCP/IP protocol and some key technology deeply, realizes the basical ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP protocol and also gives the idiographic method. At last, the paper constructs an embedded TCP/IP protocol to fulfil the needs of real time, simpleness and agility about embedded system and a simple Web SERVER based on this.The TCP/IP protocol and embedded system realized by this thesis have characteristics of less cost and bulk, high transport speed and easy to use.
