Sichuan Telecom Atm Network Optimization And Expansion Program

This article consults a lot of works about ATM technology. The author sets forth his views of technical fundamentals and orientation of technological development of ATM, analyses several sort of most important technologies and services of ATM network, also talks about some basic knowledge of the visual network of ATM network.This author combines his study with his daily work, analyses the structure of SiChuan ATM network, the situation of operation of equipment and some of the present problems, to prove the necessity of optimizing of ATM network and maps out a plan of how to optimize SiChuan ATM network.This plan consists of four parts: Parti The structure adjustment of the network; Part 2 The upgrading of the whole network; Part 3 The upgrading of the network management system ; Part 4 The adjustment of PNNI route. Part 1 gives out different sort of solution and compares them, then leads to a compared better solution. Part 2 particularly introduces several kind of cards that are involved in the key service and the way how to upgrade the whole network system; Part 3 describes the features and the advantages of the new network management, at the same time, analyses the cost of the upgrading. Part 4only discusses about the feasibility of the adjustment of PNNI route.
