Applied Research, Process Management In The Electricity Market

Electricity Market Operation System (EMOS) is developed well nowadays. To meet some business demands, improve the operation efficiency of some main business processes in electricity enterprise and reduce the system maintenance and developing cost, it is necessary to introduce Business Process Management (BPM) function into EMOS.In this paper, EMOS is described first. The business process of Long-term trade subsystem in EMOS is selected to be anatomized and the process property is analyzed. Then the open source workflow engine—Java Business Process Engine (JBPM) is studied. Its working principle, developing environment and deployment and so on are analyzed. Province-City daily settlement process in Settlement & Billing Subsystem (SBS) is analyzed and its business process management lab environment is set up by programming and configuring JBPM workflow engine.In the end of this paper, the further work and the problems that should be solved are pointed out, and the business process management used in different systems may be studied in the future.
