This thesis takes "the polarization technique of the printing antenna -using the microstrip structure to realize polarization agility" as a research object. It sets out from the actual engineering application, introducing the basic theories of microwave control electric circuit, particularly introducing the basic principle, technique guideline of the microwave switches and phase shifters, and several kinds of means to realize the microwave diode digital phase shifters, and make a comparison of these several means, then select a blue print to carry out the design object. Then according to the design target and to the analysis of the theories of phase shifters, select two methods to design and optimize the phase shifters, contrast them again, then choose the good one to be processed, successfully realized the QPSK phase shifter used for polarization agility of microstrip antenna. The measured performance is similar to the simulation performance, except some errors of a few measured data. But it can already satisfy the demand of the engineering application. The thesis analyzed the errors of the phase shifter in details, and accordingly put forward the measures of improvement. In the end, the phase shifter is applied in the polarization agility technology of microwave antenna, and the design object of the task is realized.Because of restrictions of many conditions, the research of this problem is still staying at a more shallow level, so the thesis puts forward the direction to do more research and develop of the problem. It sets a matting for the further study and research of this topic.
