Object-oriented Software Testing Techniques And Applications

With the rapid development of the information technology, GIS products have been widely used in the field interrelated with geographical like as urban municipal facilities management, network management, telecommunications, electricity, land management, urban planning, traffic control, property development, tourism, public security, fire protection, natural and so on, and the complexity and scale of software have increased greatly. Software invalidation has become the main cause of the system paralysis. So the enhancement of software quality and reliability has become an important task in the field of software engineering.Software testing is effective on software quality. Object-oriented software testing is indispensable to the development of object oriented software, and it is the key to software quality and reliability. The main target of object-oriented software testing is the same of the traditional software testing , namely, to find the possible number of errors in the most smallest workload.; its dynamic testing process is similar to the traditional software testing, divided into the following phases: developing test plans, creating test cases, implementing the testing and evaluating the result. But because of the Object-Oriented characters ,such as encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and dynamic binding etc, make the Object-Oriented software testing strategies and content quite different . Testing perspective expanded to including review of the analysing and designing models, testing focus shifted to class from modules. In the recent ten years, domestic and foreign have conducted some exploringly studies to the Object-oriented software testing, but have not yet developed a maturity and perfect test theory and method. The author embarks from the object-oriented procedure characteristic, based on analyzing the object-oriented software technology, carries on theoretical and practical application research for the object-oriented software testing; describes how to test the analyzing and the designing models, analyzes the level and the technology of the class testing, emphasizes the fact that fusing the software testing thought into each stage of the software develops.
