Fiber Bragg grating(FBG)sensor is a wavelength-encode sensor. It has many unique characteristics, for example it can be immune from light source disturbance and system loss, now it is one of the current heat research fields in the optical fiber sensing fields. FBG sensors have been widely used in space industry, ship industry, civil structures, electric industry, oil and chemical industry and medicine fields. The key technique of FBG sensors is to demodulate the wavelength signal of FBG. The direct method is to use the spectrometer. The method using spectrometer is not good because of the high-precision spectrometer with high cost and big body. Furthermore, it can not give the electric signal relative to wavelength, so it is not fit for the auto-controlling in the industry manufacture. Many researchers focus on the demodulating Bragg wavelength and achieve some demodulation technologies. The paper presents several demodulation technologies used commonly at home and abroad. The working principles and the characteristics of the demodulation technologies are summarized in the paper. The Fabry-Perot cavity tunable filer is confirmed because of the features of...
