Study on plane wave scattering from object with rough surface is of significant academic value and extensive application background in national defence and civilian technological fields. Significant progress in theoretical and experimental study on light scattering from random surfaces has acquired more attention during the years and stimulated wide applications of its fruits in modern military, remote sensing, radiation calibration and industrical on-line surface examination. The content of this dissertation is focused on the scattering of dielectric randomly cone-shaped surface and organized as follows, and the scattering characteristic of plane wave incidence on rough surface is systematically investigated. The first section introduces the background, significance and the relative development of the dissertation. Then the roughness of rough surface and the basic theories of the scattering of electromagnetic waves from rough surfaces are discussed, and the Kirchhoff approximation and small perturbation method are presidented in detail. Then based on Kirchhoff approximation theory, the formula of the coherent and incoherent scattering intensity of plane wave from two dimensional dielectric normally distributed rough surface are derived, and the scattering intensity of a planar, rough surface of unit area. The scattering intensity of rough surface is computed, while the roughness, polarization, observation station and the refractive index are different, and the wavelength of incident light is 0. 48μm. The results indicates the rougher the rough surface is, the less the coherent scattering is; the influence of the smaller refrective index is more than larger one by the polarization.Base on Helmholtz Integral Equation, the incoherent scattering of plane wave from rough cone-shaped surface is derived with the far field theory and stationary phase method. And the incoherent scattering of plane wave from rough conical surface is also derived with shadowing function when the the radius of principal...
