Enterprise-class Software Configuration Management System Design

The SCM is the important circle of the software engineering. As the rapid developing of IT, software shares more and more work in researching engineering, and the SCM become the key problem of the technology state management in many enterprise. There are many SCM software tools, but few run successfully in inland enterprise. My project is to research and devise a enterprise SCM software system, that based the two grades and four libraries(Department Development library, Department Controlled library, Department Development library, Enterprise Controlled library, Enterprise Product library), and use the JBCM which was devised by the Beijing Beida software engineering Co., Ltd. as the antitype. We call it CMIS.The project adopts the software engineering method, Based the fully research of the customer's requirement, requirement analyses, structure devising, detail devising had been done to finish a software SCM tool product. Through integration with the original project manage system, this product can do the identification, change control, statistic and audit for all the R&D project software of the enterprise. And more, it offers many enterprise managing functions, including the SCM plan, test process manage, team manage and product release manage. As it's user not only including software developing man but also the QM man, test man, PM man and the enterprise leaders, it need to fit the different requirement of the users. To reach this target, CMIS has two different client programs, the C/S and B/S client, which assure the efficiency, stabilization, and facility of the system application.The structure devising adopted the ORACLE DB and J2EE mode. The system has devised more than 50 EJB and multilevel business process to fit the different application. For better safety, the system can customize the backup strategy.
