Analysis of the electromagnetic characteristic of finite array structure plays an important part in the design of array antenna and passive array. In this article, Floquet mode(FM), edge diffracted waves(EDW) and method of moment(MoM) hybrid algorithm and fringe integral equation(FIE) method which are applied to analyse finite array are studied.In the first part, Floquet mode- edge diffracted waves- method of moment hybrid algorithm is used for researching the scattering field from grating arrays. The asymptotic expression based on steepest descent path method and the scattering field at different distance are discussed mainly. The second part of the work studies the radiation field of a planar periodic dipoles array, the physical interpretation is analysed , the radiation field is computered with Floquet mode and the edge diffracted waves took into account respectively and the characteristic of this hybrid method is also mentioned.At the end part, badsed on the MoM solution of fringe integral equation, the induced current on the array can be interpreted, the basis functions are defined according to the Floquet mode and edge diffracted waves, a very small number of basis functions is sufficient.
