The scattering of targets is a very important part of electromagnetism. The analytical method only can be used on very few cases. Recently, with the rapid development of computer, the scattering problems which couldn't be solved by analytical methods previously, now can be solved by numerical methods.Based on the concept of the Radar Cross Section (RCS) and the theory of the basic electromagnetic scattering, this dissertation discusses the application of the numerical computation methods based on parametric geometry. Method of moment (MoM)was mainly used here to analyze the RCS of 3-D scatterers. On the geometric modeling, flat surface and curved surface are used to mesh and describe the model;on the electromagnetic modeling. Different basis functions( flat surface roof-top basis function, flat surface RWG basis function, curved surface roof-top basis function, curved surface RWG basis function) and different test functions (line-matching, Galerkin method) are applied to different cells(plat rectangle facet, triangular patch, Bezier patch, parametric surface, curved triangular patch etc.). By calculating the EFIE, MFIE and CFIE, the currents on the surface of the scatterers are determined and the scattering fileds are given at last. The advantages and disadvantages of different methods are also discussed.
