Based on the state of the art of AVSC, the exiting problems and the practical requirements, this dissertation deeply investigates the theories and application of AVSV for structure. Moreover, the theoretical results are applied to the control of the missile. The dissertation provides new effective approaches for engineering problems which are difficult to solve by traditional approaches. The main contributions of the dissertation are summarized as follows:1 The present research state and development of Variable Structure Control and Adaptive Backstepping Control are summarized.2 From the point of theories, Variable Structure Control and Adaptive Backstepping Control are expatiated. Design theories and design method, include linear unlinear and disperse system, are proposed. Finally numerical simulation results are proposed.3 Combine Variable Structure Control with Adaptive Backstepping Control, A design method for nonlinear system Variable Structure Control is proposed based on backstepping control techniques. And numerical simulating results are proposed.4 The theoretical results are applied to the control of the moving robot, The dissertation provides new effective approaches.5 Make a summary of the works for the paper.
