Spectral analyzer and Spectrometer are used widely, play an important role in research of physical chemistry basics, astronomical observation, mine reconnaissance, product quality analysis and so on. As the development of technology, the precise and speed requirements become higher, and traditional spectrometer cann't meet that.Meanwhile, as the PC widely used, capability become more powerful while price is lower; technology of USB interface has became matured, form low speed, full speed to high speed, it's accepted for its convenience, high speed, good extensibility, and almost every main board have USB interface. At the same time, technology of 51 chip has been mature, it is competitive for its easy using and cheapness in embedded developer.So , aiming at the demand of high precise, high speed in spectral measurement, this paper put forward a Fast Scan Multi-Channel Spectrometer which is base on the USB2.0 interface and CCD imaging. In the paper, Spectrometer is introduced in detail in three parts (measurement theory, hardware system and PC software) which make compose of the system.First, working theory of the system is analysed and the process of light division. Light source is divided by concave-grating and imaging to CCD, expressions between wavelength and CCD pixels are deduced in this paper, the least square polynomial fit method is used to fit curve.Second, data collection hardware system is introduced in detail in this paper. According to the requirements of speed, precise, chips are selected to be compatible with the requirements which can also reduce the developing period after comparing MCU AD chips with another. Connection of hardware and firmware programming are also introduced in detail.Then, PC software is also introduced which is important. It is consists of data gathering, filtering noise, seeking peak automatically by improved difference arithmetic, and the calibration of spectrum and response.At last, resolving power is analysed, and measuring data is got to prove its precision. Thespectrometer referred in this paper has been working stably. Compared with the spectrometer used previously, it have advantage in low power, function, speed, precise extension , etc. The usage of FX2 chip makes it upgrade easy.
