With the development of science and technology, especially in the technology of information. Image processing technology is becoming more and more important and powerful . In the field of medical image processing, it's an important application of image processing combining with the characteristics of medical images to achieve the process and analysis of image through computer. The development of image processing and analysis technology and its application in medical images has provided more abundant and exacter information for medicine.This paper deals with the research in the application of image process and recognition in the field of medical. The aim of it including in: achieving the disease diagnosis of micro-lymphocyte by the technology of image processing, improving the veracity and precision of inspection of micro-lymphocyte, reducing the artificial error of judging and the intensity of labour and boosting the work efficiency.In the field of medical cell image processing, segmentation and recognition of cell in the image is the most important and difficult aspect, resolve of cell region segmentation has undeniable influence on disease diagnosis, quantitative analysis of cell information and cell aberrance, especially in cancer diagnose. After studying the technology direction and development of this field inside and outside our country, the author sum up primary research content and methods and introduce the research stress and kernel techniques. In this paper, the emphasis is the application of multi-scale edge detection theory in the process of segmentation. There is a detailed presentation about the basic theory of binary image mathematical morphology.Based on these theories and technologies and combining the peculiarity of micro-lymphocyte image and being against the difference characters between clear edges and the blur edges which producing by not focused in the foci, this paper adopted the multi-scale edge detection to get the edges of clear cells, then fill the region of formed by edges, smoothed by mathematical morphology: open and close, tracked the boundary. Finally, it discussed the cell image's analysis. Based on the opinion of the experts, computing the cell shape features, then inspect the notabilityof these features, all of these prepared for the disease diagnose of micro-lymphocyte image.
