It demands very large load current in the plating power supply. So the power source has four half-bridge converters paralleled to supply the heavy load current. Each converter can supply 100A current and it will output adjustable voltage rang form OV to 12V. The frequency of the switch is 20 kHz. But the load current of each converter is seriously different..So a novel current sharing scheme of paralleled power modules system based on GAL is introduced in the paper. A single PWM modulator controls the system, and the current of each power module is sensed, and balanced by a magnetic amplifier, which post-regulate its output voltage. It modulates the PWM signal utilizing the different performance between saturated inductor and unsaturated inductor. When the saturating inductor has not saturated, the magnetic switch shuts down. And when it saturates, it works in a direct-short condition. We control the current of the winding, and the reset Br, and then we can modulate the pulse width. So the MagAmp is used as a secondary modulator. It should be proved as a feasible scheme, so a four-converters-paralleled prototype that can supply 400A current is needed. We share the load in the prototype, firstly. Then it introduced some theory about stability of the plating supply. Lastly, the load current is shared in the four-converters-paralleled prototype that can supply 400A current.
