Speech Synthesis Algorithm And Embedded Speech Synthesis Systems Realization

This thesis studies arithmetic of waveform coding, parameter coding and mixture coding in speech synthesis technology, and mainly focuses on LPC, CELP and MELP arithmetic. Combined with CELP arithmetic, a general embedded speech synthesis model is proposed and put into practice. The system can display information on LCD screen, choose speakers and update content through communication interface, which are the characteristics of the system. All of the operation is through the keyboard.The embedded speech synthesis based on CELP arithmetic can be modeled as follows:1 .After studied speech compress methods like waveform coding, parameter coding and mixture coding, analyzed advantages and disadvantages of arithmetics like LPC, CELP and MELP, compared the computation complication and store capability of speech compression, CELP was chosen, with which better synthesis result, easier practice and cheaper product could be achieved.2.SC —691 has been chosen as speech synthesis chip to realize CELP arithmetic.3.The compressed speech database was established and stored, which included pre-processing, compression and store of speech files.4.General embedded speech synthesis system was explained and modeled. The system consists of chip SC —691, microprocessor, LCD screen, keyboard and communication interface.5.According to feasibility, the embedded speech synthesis system bases on CELP arithmetic is designed and realized. The work included designation of speech synthesizer, memory, LCD display model, PLD, keyboard and communication interface in system hardware, and flow charts of systemsoftware which included speech synthesis, LCD display, keyboard processing and communication interface.After the realization of embedded speech synthesis system, the product is better and cheaper, and the features have achieved our requirements.This thesis has modeled a general embedded speech synthesis system and put into practice to serve our society. This system can be used in information service, supermarket guide, hospital nursing, travel spot guide and language learning machine, and has light market prospect.
