Based On The Globus Grid Security Certificate Platform Management System Design And Development

Grid security is very important to grid. It is the foundation when grid is applied on a large scale. Grid environments have a broad range of security requirements that differ from conventional network environment needs. The research on security certificate management system basing on Globus is of significant practical value and social value.The paper makes a summary of the current security problem of grid, analyses the Globus grid security solution-GSI. Through the analysis of grid security authenticating, the paper designed security certificate management system basing on Globus. Security certificate management system basing on Globus includes the five major parts: certification authority, certificate repository, registration authority, user information repository and public server. The system function is divided into eight modules: user register module, user check module, CA initial module, certificate requisition module, certificate signature module, certificate revocation module, certificate inquiry module, download module. The design and realization of each module have been explained briefly at the same time. The paper realized grid certificate authority and certificate repository, which can provide several functions: security pair generation, certificate issuing, certificate publishing, certificate revoking, CRL publishing, certificate repository and certificate inquiry.The security certificate management system has already run in a Globus grid test environment. The test result is good. The system realized security certificate management service in Globus test environment, provided strong security support for grid application.
