Study On The Application Of PKI In Intranet

With the development of Intranet, there should communicate in open network. In order to provide confidentiality, authentication, digital signature and integrity, it is necessary to deploy a secure infrastructure in Intranet.Public Key Infrastructure consist of software, hardware, policy and procedure which base on the cryptography. PKI's heart is certificate sevice that is implemented by Certificate Authority. PKI can provide security service for network by the means of certificate, can maintain data consistency, and can make use of digital signature to assure the identity of person.On the basis of careful research of theory and practice, this article analyzes the security demands of Intranet and then put forward to deploy the Authentication Management System in Intranet. During the process making use of soft engineering and cryptlib toolkit, the assembling of Client/Server and Browser/Server is achieved. As a result the user can communicate with the CMS by html through which CMS achieve the management of user, certificate, CRL and keys. The application program makes the use of certificate transparent for user. The LDAP sever deployed by the system may enhance efficiency as well as perform better management of resources.The authentication system can satisfy the demands of most enterprises. The enterprise construct the system which can support certificate service, secure communication, authentication and keys management, and it conforms to international standards such as PKIX, PKCS and so on. Using this system can improve the secure framework in Intranet.
