The requirement has been improved highly to the peripheral driving circuits technology with the quick development of active matrix thin film transistor (TFT) and active matrix organic light emitting diode (OELD). Nowadays, middle and low level TN and STN peripheral driving circuits modules are produced mainly in domestic, but high level TFT and OLED modules are depended on import mostly. In this thesis, by referring to many products abroad in market, has researched and developed a new kind of driving circuit for 1.8 inch TFT-LCD.In this thesis, it is mainly researched about circuits to drive 1.8 inch TFT-LCD, such as power supply circuit, peripheral driving circuit, video sign disposal circuit and timing control circuit. Firstly, circuit structure and work theory of power supply chip LTC3450 are researched for small size TFT-LCD, then a practically applied circuit has been designed according to the voltage required. Secondly, circuit structure and work theory of gate driving chip HX8604 and source driving chip HX8201, and decode process for image decode chip ER3Y31M are researched respectively, then a practically applied circuit has been designed. At last, inner structure and work theory of timing control chip UPS015 are researched respectively and a practically applied timing control circuit has been designed. The driving circuit to small size TFT-LCD consists with those circuits above. Its work theory has been introduced in detail. After the wave shape of joint signs is qualitative analyzed, the practical wave shape of joint signs has been measured out by experiments.Another task in this thesis is the driving circuit design to TFT-OLED. Firstly, the light theory and device structure of OLED are introduced. Then image display with huge information has been realized by utilizing row and line driving chips and timing control chip of TFT-OLED together, combined with MCS-51 single-chip control to drive (320 × 3) × 240 pixels. The function of driving chip and the design method for hardware joint circuit are researched respectively, then a software flow chart for single-chip has been given out.
