The inertial navigation system is independent navigation technical. The strapdown subsystem is the trend of the inertial navigation system. The equipment's Miniaturization, digitization and integration is the require of modern military fighter. It's necessary to develop the appication of the strapdown inertial navigation system. Although the strapdown gyros have high reliability, their precision performance is low than traditional gyros. This article analyses the appication of the Kalman Filter algorithms to synthesize airspeed in the strapdown inertial navigation system. The indicates that the system with strapdown gyro improves its performance greatly.We developed a new small system, it only consist of DSP Navigation Computer, strapdown IMU and Magnetic Heading Sensor.This system achieves its excellent performance by employing proprietary algorithms to determine stabilized roll, pitch, and heading angles in static and dynamics conditions.
