More and more people attach importance to the study of block cipherafter USA government confirm Advanced Encryption Standard .Block cipheris easy to make standardization of industry ,and be realized rapidly bysoftware and hardware .It is commonly a key system of dataencryption ,digital signature ,authentication and key escrow in the fieldof information and network security .It is widely used in the field ofcomputer communication and information security.In the field of information security ,the cryptographic technologyis the key method .We must develop this technology by ourselves .We dothis work in order to make out a practical tool on the aspect ofcryptographic testing .Thereby ,it can do a favor to design our Chinesefirm encryption algorithm.In this article ,we sum up many good results on the design of blockcipher ,especially on how to make S-box and round function .we demonstratethe theory on what we talk about .We indicate applied rules on designingblock cipher.Regarding randomicity and S-box ,we present many methods which arefrequency test ,serial test ,poker test ,runs test ,autocorrelationtest ,SAC test, algebra degree, distribution ,differential cryptanalysis,approximate linearity and correlation test, to test them .Further more ,wedemonstrate many mathematics tools on what we talk about .We present therelations between testing methods and various attack .Accordingly ,weexplain the security of methods.According to what we talk about ,we make a testing tool in windowsoperation system .By using the tool ,we can test the capability of blockcipher easily and safely ,furthermore ,it can improve the efficiency ofdevelop algorithm.
