As the development of radar technology, one of the most obvious feature is improvement of the resolution of radar. Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) is a kind of high resolution imaging radar which is based on the technology of wide microwave and advanced signal processing. ISAR can be imaged at all-weather, anytime and long-distance, which have broad application not only in national defence but also in civil realm. The resolution of traditional ISAR imaging algorithm suffers the restriction of many factors, particularly the resolution of cross-range which is restricted by the angle size. For increasing the resolution of cross-range, a lot of scholars adopt kinds of techniques to ameliorate the resolution of radar. These techniques adopt only single polarimetric data to acquire the radar image, but single polarimetric data can't provide the important information of the target space distribution. Full polarimetric data can identify the most dispersion centers of a unknown target, obtaining direction, shape...etc, increasing the recognition rate of the target. Therefore, this thesis studies and simulates on full polarimetric ISAR imaging algorithms based on super-resolution processing techniques mainly. Besides, target detection method of ISAR image, ISAR feature estimation method of moving target, and target recognition method basen on ISAR image are also analyzed and studied. The main contributions of the dissertation are as follows: 1. Introduces the basic principle for ISAR imaging and typical imaging algorithms, and gives some simulated results of two kinds of imaging methods. 2. Studies the full polarimetric ISAR imaging algorithm based on super-resolution processing technique. Super-resolution 2D-ISAR imaging techniques such as LP(linear prediction) and ESPRIT(Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational Invariance Techniques) are extended to full polarization 2D processing techniques using 2D full polarised scattering coefficients data for a target. Applying these techniques, the higher resolution rate of ISAR images can be given. ISAR images from simulated airplane model data are presented to validate the proposed algorithms. 3. Studies target detection method of ISAR image. As traditional CFAR target...
