Wap Protocol Stack In The Mobile Terminal

WAP means Wireless Application protocol. This new technology orientedto integrate two advanced technologies which are most active in theworld—mobile-communications and Internet. WAP is designed to adapt tothe shortages of wireless networks (such as narrow bandwidth, high latency,less connection stability and so on) and the bounds of wireless device(like limited input facilities, limited battery power, limited display,memory and CPU). Another characteristic of WAP is that it scales acrossa broad range of wireless networks and bearers. The bearers can be SMS,circuit switched data,packet switched data, and the networks can be GSM,IS-95, GPRS and even 3G.Based on the introduction of each protocol in WAP,this paper focusedon the WTP and WSP's theory and mechanism.Then presented the particulardesign method of WSP protocol.In the 4rd and 5rd chapter,I respectivelypresented the whole resolve ways of connectionless-mode andconnection-mode in the client.At last, this paper analyzes the existingproblems of WAP applications and predicts the development of WAPapplications in the future.For the release of license of 3G,the increment operation such as WAPshould must be attached importance to again, this thesis has the specialmeaning in the field of WAP application technology in our country.
