Today, as the electronic technology is developing fantastically fast, the request for higher performance of microwave transceiver is put forward, especially to minimize the size of microwave transceiver. As the microwave transceiver is the main force of modern communication equipment, make a forward research in technology of minimizing design is very necessary. For this reason, the paper is main focus on the theory and technology for design of small size microwave transceiver. In the beginning of the paper, I made some introduction on the evolution of microwave T/R module. In succession, I mainly Analysis the design method of the module of microwave transceiver, including amplifier, PLL, mixer and bandpass filter. In addition, the design method and cascaded performance of the microwave transceiver is given. And a 5.8GHz wireless transceiver based on LTCC is also given to verify the design progress.
