Internet worm infestations have caused immense economy lossing and led to increased interest in worm research.. Among these research,worm propagation and traffic modeling is very important aspect. By the research of worm modeling, we can get the discipline of worm propagation,then study the method of the repress the worm infestations. The research of worm traffic modeling, is building upon worm propagation model.to get worm traffic characteristic by analysing worm scanning regulation.lt aim to help worm detection.Firstly,the paper briefly introduces the basic concept of worm,including worm definition and the difference between worm and virus, and review of worm phylogeny.For the worm traffic model, we just in brief introduce several kinds of scanning mode.Then, at the foundation of the model of SIR for there has been up, we build up a model of SCIR that includes the factor of network infrastructure such asnetworm congest and delay.and compare the model of SCIR between the model of SIR.Secondly,the paper carry on the analysis to the realization of worm propagation and traffic model.lt includes two parts: the key technique of the system and the frame realization of the system.The key technique part is mainly the realization of topology, worm traffic and SCIR model. The system frame part describes the realization of three modules: configuration module,simulation module and transmission module.At last, we analyse the simulation results, do the summary for existing problems, and look forward to the work that may do in the future.
