The optical moving target is a kind of indoor measuring device that can produce a far away simulating moving goal using the characteristics of the parallel light to be tracked by the TV tracking system of the photoelectric theodolite, thus, its tracking characteristics can be measured. The photoelectric theodolite of earlier stage has photography measuring systems, and the precision of the TV measuring system is usually be obtained comparing the measured result of the TV measuring system to the measured result of the photography measuring system after the dynamic precision of the photography measuring system is measured, but it is limited to measure the dynamic precision of the TV tracking system by this indirectly contrastive method. Moreover, most of the present photoelectric theodolites have only TV measuring systems and their precision is measured by the optical moving target simulating the special moving goal. So it is necessary to search a method to measure the dynamic precision of the optical moving target in the range of 360° revolving cone angle continuously. The present indoor measuring methods of the photoelectric theodolite and the devices of simulating space moving goal, and also the present precision measuring methods of the optical moving target are introduced; The main working manners of the optical moving target and the movement relation between the optical moving target and the photoelectric theodolite are expounded, also the movement characteristics of the optical moving target at the characteristic points are analyzed; The methods of auto collimation are introduced and the experimental methods and processes of measuring the precision of the shafting, the dynamic precision of thesingle rocker, and the dynamic precision of the optical moving target are explained in detail; The experimental data of measuring the precision of the optical moving target by auto collimation are processed and the precision of the optical moving target is analyzed; The auto collimation method of measuring the precision of the optical moving target is brought forward, and the improving advices of the auto collimating device measuring the precision of the optical moving target are brought forward by the experimental results.The auto collimation method is a simple, feasible and effective method to measure the precision of the optical moving target, and the dynamic precision of the TV tracking system of the photoelectric theodolite can be measured indoor by the optical moving target with known precision and the TV tracking system of the photoelectric theodolite can meet the needs of shooting range optical measuring devices better.
