With the fleeting progress of electronic technology and computer technology, radiography has entered a new seedtime. Computed Radiography receives much recognition. But in the procedure of Computed Radiography imaging, with various reasons, Computed Radiography image has been degraded. It is can worsen the results of analysis and diagnosis of doctor. So it is necessary to get across the characters of kinds of noises .Then clear off the noise and improve its visual quality.Firstly, we introduce the theory and equipment of Computed Radiography, analyses its character and superiority. Based on the specialties of Computed radiography images and medical image processing, we get a conclude that the noise of Computed Radiography include intrinsic noise and quantum noise. We can reduce the noise by improve the Computed radiography system. Then we estimate the quality of Computed radiography image with the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF), and introduce several methods of detecting the MTF of Computed radiography system in detail.At last, in order to clear off the noise in image and meanwhile preserve edge and fine detail information, we propose in the paper several efficient techniques based on the characteristics of Computed radiography images: auto-adapt median filter, wiener filter and permutation filter. The experiment results show that wiener filter and permutation filter not only efficiently remove noise in image, but also preserve the image and fine detail information.
