Networked control system is a product with combination of automation ,computer network and communication technology, innovation of information brings far-reaching effect and challenge to automation . In recent years there has been considerable interest in networked control systems, the modeling, stability analysis and controller design in networked control systems are studied in this dissertation.Firstly, the basic problems and the modeling of networked control systems with data dropouts are presented. The mathematic models of networked control system with single packet transmission, multiple packet transmission, single packet transmission with data packet dropout and multiple packet transmisson with data packet dropouts are developed by switching systems theory and stochastic control method.Secondly, the stability and the data dropout margin of SISO and MIMO networked control systems is studied. The sufficient stability conditions of SISO and MIMO networked control system with data dropouts are presented, data dropout rate is determined to ensure stability of NCS. Stability analysis is the basis of controller design. Numerical simulation proves the effectiveness of the above method. Finally, the controller design of networked control system with data dropouts is investigated. The optimal data dropout compensation and the robust pole assignment in networked control systems are used to overcome the undisadvantage due to data dropouts. Simulation results show the controller design is effective.
