Pseudo-Random Code CW (PRC-CW) radar is playing a more and more important role in the engineering practice because of its spreading spectrum and wide time span , but it still remains some problems in practice such as how to solve the problem of signal side-lobe , Doppler sensitive, and the leakage of transmitter , and so on .This paper focus on these problems and discusses the possibility of using PRC-CW in measuring high speed target .At first the basic conception of PRC-CW is given , then a Doppler pretreatment method is given. Through utilizing the shift multiplication characteristics of m series, this kind of radar system eliminates the bad effect of Doppler frequency on the performance of correlation at the little price of signal-to-noise ratio reduction efficiently. In theory, the Doppler tolerance of the radar system can reach the half of the code rate with proposed echo pretreatment method in this paper. In the course of Doppler tolerance extend, the MTI processing is also completed by the proposed echo pretreatment method. Finally the system frame and the hardware are given and the principium of measuring speed and range method is introduced. The results of analysis and simulation both show the validity of proposed radar system. With good performance and easy realization, this kind of radar system can have promising future.
