Ren Chengming (microelectronics and solid-state electronics) Directed by Prof. Sun XiaoweiAutomotive anti-collision millimeter-wave and microwave radar system is widely used in automotive application in recent years. High stability and small size is necessary for automotive radar system. So the thesis is focused on integration of FMCW radar front-end.First of all, a summation of radar integrated methods is presented in the thesis.On the base of MCM process and test condition of state of art, we put forward a scheme of 24 Ghz anti-collision radar system. The results of ;imulation using ADS under the condition of extraction parameters from practical process demonstrated that the simulation is exacted and reliable.After the test of passive components such as microstrip line,CPW line,CPWG line, coupler ,and microstrip to CPW line transformer, CPWG line is choosed as based interconnect line for it's lower loss compared with microstrip line and CPW line. In the process of design of 24 GHz system board ,it is important to meet the power needs of PA ,Mixer and LNA .From the test results of final system board, we can see that the simulation is basically right.Microwave synthesizer is a important part of radar system.For FMCW radar ,the linearity of synthesizer is critical. A novel nonlinear PLL which can be used in VCO nonlinearity compensation is presented. By using the SAW delay line to delay the FMCW signal ,the IF signal can be locked on a reference frequency after mixing the delayed VCO signal frequency and the undelayed. Based on this idea, the loop phase model of this PLL is analyzed and proved on the base of simulation by using Agilent ADS. The CAD simulation results show that this kind of PLL can be used in VCO nonlinearity compensation circuit conveniently.
