Since 70's in the 20th century, going with the launch of the series of NOAA satellite, the technology that we explore the atmospheric parameters using satellite data is going forward quickly. It can detect not only the atmosphere on the desert, but also that over the ocean. The climate of the ocean is the key factor in the weather of the earth. The oceanic area is gigantic and the resources are abundant. Because we cannot get the atmospheric parameters over the ocean as the land that get from the radiosonde, the technology we explore the ocean atmospheric parameters using satellite data is more and more important in future.The sea surface air temperature and humidity are the important ocean meteorologic parameters. We can retrieve them from satellite data. They are the component of the project Modularization of Ocean Remote Sensing Information Extraction Technology and are retrieved from NOAA satellite TOVS data. We get the two parameters hereinbefore successfully, and they can be used in the ocean weather forecast, ocean fisheries and ocean engineering.This dissertation was the part of national 863 key project, which is Modularization of Ocean Remote Sensing Information Extraction Technology. The primary objective of the project is to retrieve the sea surface air temperature and humidity, also to integrate software of the whole project. We get the profile of the air temperature and humidity in this project successfully. And this dissertation mainly includes the following work:Basic theory of air temperature and humidity retrieval: introduce the retrieval theory and method, and the factors that can affect results of retrieval.Realize the retrieval of air temperature and humidity from satellite data: discuss the way and process of retrieval from NOAA satellite TOVS data.Realize the retrieval algorithmic software and integrate the whole project: introduce the retrieval algorithm and the flow; also discuss the integration of the whole projection.The result analysis and error analysis of the sea surface air temperature and humidity retrieval: show the results and analyse the results and error of retrieval.
