With the rapid development of the size of Internet and applications, more and more applications such as video conference are widely applied. Unicast is hardly to support these applications, so the research on multicast is in the ascendant. People proposed the control topology to support mass nodes. Therefore, the research on multicast control topology of stable performance become one of the most popular and front edge projects, moreover HyperCube is a delegate.Because of the limitation the former control topologies usually have, people proposed HyperCube and researching widely on it. Complete HyperCube has better performance but its practicability is limited because it has strict condition of the number of nodes. So, scholars proposed LogCube and FullCube which is based on logical HyperCube. they eliminated the complete HyperCube's limit and improved the performance of structure, while they still have biggish limitations. Aiming at these shortages, we analyzed a new structure- combinational HyperCube, ComCube and we showed in theory that it overcomed some of the deficiencies of LogCube structures while it inherit the advantages of them.For the requirements of our research, we studied NS2 which is the acknowledged excellent one of the network simulation software. According to the characteristics of NS2 and HyperCube, we developed a HyperCube simulation system based on NS2. This system can construct the Tcl script automatically, run the simulation, analyze the results and show the dynamic of experiments. It is scalable and can be used generally and easily. It will make NS2 be widely used in researches.Currently, it has front edge meaning in theory and practice that combine the multicast and HyperCube in simulation and study the performance. With the simulation system, we experimented multicast with logical HyperCube in the scenarios of different rate and positions of the fault nodes. Analyzed the graphs of the statistics, we draw the conclusion that logical HyperCube has good performance in multicast. This project demonstrated the advantages of logical HyperCube and ComCube, and designed and realized the HyperCube simulation systemsuccessfully. It provide a valuable tool and basement to perfect logicalHyperCube and ComCube, and make them be more practical in furtherresearch.
