Because of its special characteristics, more and more research has been done on the technology of millimeter wave. This paper aims at discussing the application of millimeter wave in digital communication. Based on the analyses of point to point millimeter wave communication system, we study and design the modulation and demodulation. And according to the soft radio, we put forward a all-digital modem. In broad band communication, there is a key problem of soft radio, the rate of data need for processing is too high, and currently DSP can't do with so high rate data immediately. In this paper we solute the problem using a new method of DSP+ASIC. Finally a QPSK all-digital modem has been designed with the ASIC of Intersil Company and simulated with the soft of System View.
