In this article, we explore two kinds of technologies: camera-calibration and concentric mosaics. Camera-calibration technology plays an important role in Computer Vision and virtual reality system, etc. Through it, we can calculate camera parameters (inner parameters and outer parameters) through the images we took. It's a key step from 2D image information to 3D geometry information. Concentric mosaics is a image-rendering technology based on images. We can construct Virtual Environment through it.This paper analyses a self-calibration algorithm based on active vision, and gives some experiment results. Then a nonlinear optimization is provided to optimize the results. In order to loosen the constraints, another algorithm is proposed with which we can calculate the inner parameters linearly according to the fundamental matrix (F) homography (H) and epipolar point (e') One of the important applications of camera-calibration is 3D reconstruction, so we make some forays in it. It can be seen that the algorithm is practical and robust enough. As for concentric mosaics, we major in it's realization, some difficulties and it's development directions in future.
