According to the frequency of clinical symptoms' appearance, bonding with teacher' s experience how every symptom effects the differentiation of symptoms and signs, we can know every symptom' s formal flexible strategy in differentiation of symptoms and signs. Adding formal flexible strategy mathematical model is used to patient' s first step differentiation of symptoms and signs. If first step fails, logic reasoning mathematical model should be used then. After the differentiation, the datum of main formulae and herbs are transferred together to print the prescription. Result: CP expert system of TCM is designed by Microsoft Visual Basic 6. 0, which has friendly desktop, runs smoothly and can be transferred easily. This system inherits teacher' s main academic thoughts and clinical experience of diagnosis and treatment of CP. Conclusion: Modern computer technology' s imitation of diagnosis and treatment thoughts of TCM, depends on clearness and briefness of expert' s experience and reason and completeness of mathematical model. Such mathematical model as formal flexible strategy adding and logic reasoning, it is still important in expressing expert' s thoughts.
