This article first provided the technical background for GIS synthesis information working platform - eSpace - by introducing the ATL and GIS, and introduced the GIS platform - GNet - which was independently developed in the laboratory. And then, the article proposed the design goal of eSpace and the major idea of software reusing. In the following chapters, the article closely revolved the subject of "software reusing" to launch the elaboration. Chapter II, "the frame design and the essential technology", mainly narrated the reusable software design of eSpace, and gave the advantages of Visual C++ development kit and the ATL frame by comparison, from the eye of realization. At the end of the chapter, the article produced some doubting technical difficulties on this frame, which were also several essential technologies in the process of realizing eSpace. From the angle of binary code level, Chapter III and IV elaborated the design and the realization of reusing eSpace. Chapter III, "the thought of eSpace plug-in / Manifesting the idea of reusing", proposed the idea of introducing plug-in into eSpace, beginning from the popular plug-in concept, and elaborated the design and the realization of using plug-in in this system, in detail. Chapter IV, "the Unite of GIS and OA", embarks from a concrete OA system and project, elaborated how to insert the GIS system into the OA system, from the aspects of map function, parameter transmission, edition control and so on, and finally produced several feasible solutions by comparing each other. The article finally summarized the design and the realization of GIS synthesis information working platform based on ATL, thought that it has certain research value, carried on the forecast to this design and explained the feasibility and the practical significance of the design.
