So the encoding of video is the key technology of information field.As a result, video sequence has rather relativity on time axis, Motion Estimation and Motion Compensate can reduce this relativity effectively, so it has been widely used in many video standards such as and MPEG, as a key module in video encoder, motion estimation is rather complex in computation. For this reason, fast motion estimation has always been a favorite to the researchers in the field.After investigating scores of algorithms, analyzing the characteristics of video sequences, the distribution of motion vector and pertinence, this article has summarized all the algorithms completely. Aim at the question of algorithms in existence, we ameliorate the Multiresolution Analysis Motion Estimation based on the Wavelet Transform's feature.
