This paper emphasizes on surface acoustic wave(SAW) devices used in spread spectrum communication system.Firstly, the author gives a brief introduction to spread spectrum communication and basic SAW principle. Then, focus on several methods to simulate the SAW devices, including the SAW filter, SAW programmable tapped delay line which can be used various modulation including BPSK, MSK, QPSK, resonator with SAW delay line structure. The quasi-static method presents detailed. And designed a program used by this method to design a filter. The result complies with the analytic result.At the end of this paper, according to the project of airline broadcast, the author designd filter with high rectangular factor, five channelizing filter banks, SAW programmable correlator implemented with multiplayer muti-chip technology, SAW resonator. These components used in the system . Also we simulate the system by System View and Matlab tools. The experiment results are in agreement with the simulation. Proved by engineering application, these units satisfies with practical requirements.
