In recent years, high power laser diode array has been widely applied in many application fields such as pump solid laser, material processing and laser medical exposure, however, because of the bad performance of its output beam, which affects its direct application, thus make it a hot view which people pay much attention on how to transform the beam of the high efficient laser diode array, institutions internal and abroad have been doing much research on the problem. On the basis of summarizing various methods for beam shaping from those reports, we have designed a set of optical system for the high power laser diode stack which produced by the 44th Institution of Information Industry Department in order to pump the Nd: YAG Laser.The binary optical elements are small, light, easy to be copied and able to realize multi-purpose integrated, especially suits for the beam shaping of laser diode array, thus make us choose it for realizing our system.Because single module Gaussian beam can be decomposed in a pair of vertical directions, we transform each pair of vertical beams outputted by bars separately, this can make our design easy to achieve. Through computer aid analyzing, we can make sure the parameters in these elements of the system specifically.To estimate the effect of the system, we designed an emulate program by MATLAB. The results indicated that after the transformation made by this system, the field which are high divergent and low uniform outputted by laser diode stack had been transformed to the field which are low divergent and high uniform. In fast axis the divergentce of each beam is 0.28o,In slow axis is 1.4o ,the area of field from the end of LD stack 20cm is 42×25mm2 ,average wave is 9.3%. So,it can meet the requirement of pumping, and the effect is fairly good. At last, we also make some analysis on the ullage of energy of the system. The transmisssion of energy is 40%.
